The Scientific Name of the plant is Neurolaena Lobata (L.), falling under the family: Asteraceae (daisies). The joint name(s) include tree puntas, gavilana, inaciabi, capitana and Jackass Bitters among others.   Uses Numerous ethnomedical uses exist for the plant species.
